Terms of service
Last updated: June 11, 2026
These terms govern your access to and use of Papely, the platform for generating personalized PDF documents in bulk available at papely.app. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms in full.
1. Who provides the service
- Operator: Jesús Olazagoitia, operating under the Papely brand
- Tax ID (NIF): 16613653V
- Address: Av. Lope de Vega, 55, 26006 Logroño (La Rioja), Spain
- Contact: [email protected]
2. The service
Papely lets you upload PDF templates, define editable fields, import data from CSV or Excel files and generate personalized documents in bulk, with the option of delivering them by email to their recipients. The service is aimed primarily at businesses and professionals.
3. Account and registration
Using the service requires an account with accurate, up-to-date information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity performed from your account. You must be of legal age and have the legal capacity to enter into contracts.
4. Plans and payments
Papely offers a free plan and paid plans with different limits on monthly generations, storage and retention, as described on the pricing page. Payments are processed through Polar, which acts as merchant of record; invoicing and applicable taxes are handled by Polar.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled beforehand, which you can do at any time from the billing portal. After cancelling you keep your plan until the end of the period already paid.
- Generation packs are one-time purchases: they do not expire, they accumulate, and they are consumed once the plan's monthly quota is used up. They are non-refundable once consumed.
- We may change plan prices or limits with reasonable prior notice; changes do not affect the period already paid.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Carry out illegal or fraudulent activities, or infringe third-party rights.
- Send unsolicited communications (spam). If you enable email delivery, you warrant that you have a lawful basis to contact the recipients whose data you import.
- Generate forged documents or impersonate third parties.
- Attempt to breach the security of the service, overload it, or access other users' data.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with prior notice where reasonably possible.
6. Your content
The templates, data and documents you upload or generate are yours. You grant us only the license needed to store, process and deliver them as part of operating the service. You are responsible for having the necessary rights over the content you upload and over the personal data of the recipients you import.
7. Data protection
How we process your personal data is described in the Privacy policy. For the recipient data you import into your datasets, you act as data controller and Papely as data processor, processing it only to provide the service.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service continuously available but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance and modify or withdraw features, aiming to give advance notice when a change is substantial.
9. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Papely is not liable for indirect damages or loss of profit arising from the use of the service, and its total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in the twelve months prior to the event giving rise to it. Nothing in these terms limits rights that applicable law grants on a mandatory basis.
10. Cancellation and account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from the settings page. Deletion is irreversible: it removes your templates, datasets, generated documents and associated billing data, and revokes any active subscription. If you need a copy of your data, request it at [email protected] before deleting your account.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect legal or service changes. If a change is substantial we will give reasonable advance notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts with jurisdiction under the applicable rules.
